In Surprised by Joy, CS Lewis wrote of trajedy in his life:
"With my mother's death all settled happiness, all that was tranquil and reliable, disappeared from my life... it was sea and islands now; the great continent had sunk like Atlantis."
I think this can apply to all of us. We have all lost something dear to us. Be it in actual no- longer -breathing- death or not. We all know heartache. We all live without someone or something everyday that we miss- consciously or subconsciously. So welcome to my journey. Just me and God. and our dance. sometimes I can see him and sometimes I cannot. but I know that without him, this pain would overwhelm.
I keep searching for the islands in the sea to bring life to these hours.
