bright light. orange wall.

a lot of thoughts and ideas have been racing through my head lately- so much so that i have not written a post because I cant get them straight. today is freshmen move-in day and campus/town [they really are one and the same] is swarmed with bees. bees who are zooming back and forth like their nest was attacked by a child's wayward baseball. frantic worries of breaking precious- no, sacred- property, of unjustified parking tickets, of strangers stealing the darling little pink fluffy throw pillows.
so greatly as i dont want to work today, i am thankful for the opportunity to be away from the mess. i sit with quiet classical music in a bright orange and cream and brown room, surrounded by coffee sounds and smells and tastes. suddenly, my summer bursts into the frantic of school and class and people. people. people.
its been a long, difficult, trying summer. it has been hot and tiring and emotional. but there were many precious and peaceful and blissfully happy moments that pulled me through. those are what I choose to remember from Summer 2007.
sunning on folly. baseball games in ATL heat. picnicking in the rain in July. tubing in TN and GA. waking up to wee Hugh's voice: "up peese." many a barbeque. many a movie. quiet and relaxation.
