In early May, several women and I threw a baby shower for our good friend Patricia. She is expecting a baby girl in mid-August. Friends and family gathered for light snacks, summer sangria and petit fours in an old parlor of downtown home. Activity stations were placed throughout the area for guests to guess the birth date, make a custom onesie, select a prayer for the family and leave some advice for the new parents. Sims (who has recently moved to San Diego and had a baby girl of her own- beautiful Annie) and I were in charge of decorations and flowers. We had a lot of fun scheming and playing with her grandmother's china and crystal. We love Baby Girl already, Patricia, and I cannot wait to hold her!
